I know how to sit now

I have been working with Sunni on laying and sitting. Both of which she does and picked up on pretty quickly. She doesn't go into a sit without laying first though. That we will work on. You can tell from her tongue sticking out that we are using positive reinforcement, kibble works every time. She loves her toys too.

I weighed Sunni at PetSmart and it said she weighed 51.6 but is a little light so I think she weighs 53 or 54. She's just a little girl and very petite.

Playing in the snow

My daughter, Kim, is throwing the ball for Sundance who loved to run and play in the snow. After a while, the snow got so caked on the ball that you couldn't tell it was a green tennis ball but looked more like a snowball. They had a blast.

Snow!

Sunni wants to play with Rozlin so badly. They love to run in the snow. Rozlin has a undershirt on because she just had an operation to have a cyst taken off her side and this was keeping her from licking the 5" incision. It works, by the way.

I'm spoiled

When it's cold out, I always cover up my two dogs and now they expect it. I have never had a foster that didn't like to be covered up. Sundance goes in and curls up in the back of her kennel and I get in and cover her up. She likes her face covered up at first but can't stand not being able to see what's going on. Too cute.

I'm love stuffies

You can see from these pictures that she likes her stuffies. Within 5 minutes of being in our house, she had found the box of toys and had many of them in her kennel. Now they're just spread throughout our house-ALL THE TIME (LOL) much to my chagrin. But if she's not playing, she's is laying with them. She does so many endearing things.

As I've mentioned before, Sunni is so much like a puppy so much of the time. She plays a LOT but is finally learning how to settle herself down. I think when she was in the kennel, she learned to get as much of her energy out as she could while she was in the turn-out yard. Now that she doesn't have to go back in her kennel, she would continue to play and play and play and have a difficult time settling down. She's just now starting to go into our bedroom, which is on the first floor but not too far away from what's going on, and lay down. Our dogs stay in the family-room with us but she seems to like the peace and quiet of the dark bedroom. But if she hears something going on or me talking to the other dogs, she's right in here with us.

Kim is throwing the ball on the wood floor so Sunni will get used to walking on it. She used to hug the wall all the way down the hall but she's getting better and actually walking normally most of the time. The "call of the ball" is too much for her and she forgets that she knows how to walk on the floor here. She's too cute.
